While it might be surprising to hear a professional colorist singing the praises of an at-home product, George explains that she’s been producing her own custom color kits for clients for years. The reasons are many – ranging from extended travel and hectic schedules to just feeling like they needed a touch-up between appointments.

In terms of at-home application tips, George recommends that when possible clients get a helping hand for the back of the head. Instead, she explains that “by thinning it with water I find that it gives the effect of a glossing treatment.”
